The Farm

Dig Dig Farm is a largely human powered vegetable growing operation that is tucked away in the northeast corner of Hinesburg. We are focused on growing delicious, easy to access food.

The Spoons

Dig Dig Spoons are made to cook, serve and eat real food! They are carved from local foraged hardwood and chopped into a spoon with an axe and knives. We believe this craft is something that anyone can learn how to do and are committed to supporting interested makers.

Jennica Stetler

Jennica grew up less than a mile from the farm and has been working on farms and on agriculturally adjacent projects in Vermont for more than 20 years. She has mostly worked on vegetable farms but has also grown lots of chickens and helped in the birth of many lambs. She loves being outside, has made some of the most special personal connections of her life while seeding flats of winter squash and really loves sharing meals with other people.

Paul and Jon-Marc

Paul and Jon-Marc are Jennica’s family and help on the farm sometimes. Paul likes riding on the digging fork and rigging up ropes on the bows of the greenhouse. He likes to be called Farmer Paul. Jon-Marc is in charge of everything that you need to climb a tall ladder to do and for making sure Jennica plays on the weekends.

The Name

Dig Dig Spoon Co. originally was the name for the spoons Jennica was making. It comes from baby Paul calling an excavator a “dig dig” and Jennica thought that since an excavator is basically just a big spoon it was a fun name for her spoon company. Jennica decided to adopt the name for her growing farm since the big spoon analogy seemed exactly right if a spoon was a shovel and if the shovel was scooping food. Or, dirt.
